Female Medical Professionals Face Fines Up to 25,000 Hryvnias for Skipping Mandatory Military Medical Board.
Obligations for Female Medical Professionals Regarding the Military Medical Board
According to Novyny.live: Female doctors and pharmacists are now required to undergo a Military Medical Commission (MMC) assessment within 60 days of completing their education. Failure to comply with this new regulation can result in an administrative fine ranging from 17,000 to 25,000 Ukrainian hryvnias. This requirement is part of Ukraine's broader efforts to maintain a ready reserve of skilled personnel amidst ongoing national defense needs.
According to the updated rules, these women must report to their local Territorial Recruitment Centers (TRCs) to complete the MMC. Lawyer Oleksandr Dubovyi clarified that female medics are only obligated to undergo the commission after being registered and receiving an official summons from a TRC.
The Status of Mobilization for Female Medics
While conscription for women is not currently legally possible, they may still volunteer for military service. Oleksandr Dubovyi further noted that no legislative changes have been made to enact a female draft. This underscores the critical need for women entering the medical field to understand these new procedural requirements, which are separate from mobilization.
These new rules highlight the increasingly significant role of women in the medical sector, particularly in the context of current military challenges.

Completing the MMC is a crucial step for new medical graduates, enabling them not only to fulfill their professional duties but also to be prepared for potential roles in national security. Awareness of these mandates is essential to avoid penalties and ensure timely compliance with state obligations.
