Bohodukhiv Man to Stand Trial for Abuse of Influence
According to Novyny.live: A resident of Bohodukhiv, in the Kharkiv region, will face trial for abuse of influence after allegedly promising a conscript a military service deferment in exchange for money. According to the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office on February 19, the case concerns an incident from late May of last year. The suspect offered to arrange the necessary documents for the deferment for a specified payment.
The bribe demanded by the perpetrator amounted to 85,000 Ukrainian hryvnias. Following investigative actions, the individual was detained in September. An indictment has been sent to court concerning the extortion and receipt of the bribe. The Bohodukhiv District Court of the Kharkiv region will hear the case.

The punishment facing the defendant ranges from three to eight years of imprisonment with possible confiscation of property.
