Rocket strike on Dnipro: 30 injured remain in hospitals, three fighting for their lives.
According to ТСН: 30 victims of the rocket strike carried out by Russia with a ballistic missile on Monday morning are still in hospitals in Dnipro. Among them, 13 people are in serious condition, and doctors are fighting for the lives of three.
The number of casualties from the attack has risen to four dead, and the total number of injured has reached 45.
Stories of those who survived
Mykhailo, who was installing solar panels on the roof at the moment of the strike, miraculously survived.
“I really wanted to live!” he says.
He recounted that the solar panels protected him from most of the debris, but after the explosion, his arm stopped moving. The man tried to help himself with makeshift means.
To avoid fainting and save his limb, Mykhailo counted seconds as he descended lower.
Doctors' struggle
A total of 39 injured have been delivered to hospitals, of which 13 are still in intensive care, and three are in a coma.
“A lot still needs to be done for them to breathe on their own. So far, the condition is extremely serious. There are amputations, very severe head injuries, unfortunately, and many fractures,” says a medic.
In one day, doctors transfused 14 liters of donor blood to patients, and surgeries continued uninterrupted.
Rescue from under the debris
Ms. Alla was preparing lunch in the canteen when the explosion occurred. Her son and daughter miraculously survived.
“I was just preparing a salad. And then the explosion. It was like lightning. And nothing more. I only felt blood pouring. I didn’t even feel the impact,” she recounts.
Due to a dangerous injury, neurosurgeons immediately took her to the operating room.
Ms. Alla hopes to return to her family soon. Mykhailo believes that doctors will manage to restore the function of his arm, as he has large volunteer projects and a newborn daughter.
