Missing in Popasna at the Beginning of the War. Let’s Remember Oleksandr Tryfonov.
Every morning, Ukrainians pay tribute to all who have fallen in the Russo-Ukrainian War. Today we especially honor the memory of Captain Oleksandr Tryfonov.
Oleksandr Tryfonov, known as Alex, was a prominent military officer who died in March 2022 while on a combat mission in the Luhansk region. His body was later found in November 2023. The officer was buried at the Heroes’ Alley in Chukalivka, Ivano-Frankivsk.
Oleksandr received the awards 'For Honor and Valor', the 'Cross of the Hero' and the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi of the 3rd class. He is survived by two daughters, a wife, and a father.
His wife Lyudmyla quoted a Ukrainian folk song to express respect and memory for the heroes: 'The Cossacks rode and sang a song. About how they loved and how they fought. For their homeland, for parents and friends, and for the maiden song that rings in the meadow.'
We honor the memory of all fallen heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine. May they always remain in our hearts as a symbol of faith in freedom and independence.
With solemn tribute to Captain Oleksandr Tryfonov, Ukrainians continue to pay respect to all who have selflessly fought for a better future for the country. May their feat always remain in our memory and inspire great deeds.
