The Armed Forces of Ukraine received drones worth billions: how DOT-Chain Defence strengthens the army.
According to inkorr.com: The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported on the improvement of the technical equipment of the Armed Forces thanks to the DOT-Chain Defence system. In the last three months, the army has received a large number of drones totaling UAH 3.74 billion.
Funding and functioning of DOT-Chain Defence
Moreover, another UAH 1.9 billion has been allocated for the purchase of drones and other military equipment through the DOT-Chain Defence marketplace. Currently, 180 units of the Armed Forces are already operating in this system, and another 50 brigades have joined it. This is stated in the message.
«DOT-Chain Defence is a convenient and transparent system where units choose the necessary tools themselves, while the 'Defense Procurement Agency' takes care of the bureaucracy,» the Ministry of Defense explained.
Italy revises its position
Meanwhile, the Minister of Defense of Italy announced his country's readiness to support the PURL program, which involves the purchase of weapons for Ukraine. Initially opposing this initiative, Italy has now changed its position due to concerns about losing influence among NATO allies.
In recent months, a significant amount of funds has been spent on improving the technical armament of the Armed Forces through the DOT-Chain Defence system, which allows units to independently choose the necessary means, avoiding bureaucratic difficulties from the Defense Procurement Agency.
Vaccination of the army with new technologies and a change in approaches to providing military support are important steps in strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities. Support from international partners, such as Italy, is a testament to global solidarity in the fight for peace and security in the region.
