The Armed Forces of Ukraine captured two Chinese citizens who participated in hostilities alongside the Russian army. This was reported by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, as reported by 'Glavkom'.

According to him, this happened on the territory of Ukraine, in the Donetsk region. He noted that there are documents and bank cards of these captives. Intelligence, the SBU, and military forces are currently conducting an investigation into the presence of Chinese citizens in Russian units, as well as establishing contact with China to clarify their reaction.

'Russia's involvement of China in this war in Europe is a clear signal that Putin intends to do everything possible except end the war. He is looking for ways to prolong the conflict. This requires a response from the United States, Europe, and the entire world that seeks peace,' Zelensky emphasized.

At the moment, the captured Chinese citizens are in the Security Service of Ukraine, where investigations and operational activities are being conducted. Recently, a wounded soldier from North Korea who participated in hostilities on the side of Russia was also detained. Ukrainian special forces forced him to surrender.
