Ukrainian President Meets Finnish Prime Minister in Tallinn
According to UATV: On June 9, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo held a meeting in Tallinn. Their discussions focused on advancing anti-ballistic missile defense, finalizing a Drone Deal framework, and strengthening overall air defense capabilities. This meeting took place ahead of the Ukraine–Nordic and Baltic summit, underscoring the growing strategic ties between Kyiv and Helsinki.

Additionally, Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for Finland’s military assistance and its contributions to the PURL initiative. The meeting occurred just before the Ukraine–Nordic and Baltic summit, reflecting the heightened focus on regional security cooperation. That same day, Zelenskyy also held a phone call with French President Emmanuel Macron, further demonstrating Ukraine’s active diplomatic efforts on the global stage.
Strengthening Bilateral Ties
The dialogue between Zelenskyy and Orpo marks a significant step in deepening bilateral relations and enhancing security in the region.
