Meanwhile, regions such as Sumy, Poltava, and Dnipro will hover around the freezing mark, with temperatures from -1 to +1°C.
The southern and eastern parts of the country will see milder conditions, with temperatures ranging from -2 to +4°C, and Crimea potentially reaching up to +8°C. During the daytime on the 16th, the West and North will remain frigid at -5 to -10°C, the Center will see -2 to +4°C, the East will warm to +3 to +8°C, and the South will be between +2 and +5°C, with Crimea hitting a high of +10°C.
Significant precipitation is expected across Ukraine, including wet snow, blizzards, and heavy rain. The capital, Kyiv, will see the worst of the storm on February 16, with heavy snow, sleet, and strong winds. Daytime temperatures in Kyiv will range from -6 to -9°C. Due to the hazardous conditions, authorities have declared a first-level danger warning for the city to alert residents.
Noted Ukrainian meteorologist Natalka Didenko warned: 'Icy conditions are expected on roads in the western, northern regions, as well as in Vinnytsia and Cherka! Time to get out the ice grips for your boots.'
