Ukraine has deported 65 Ukrainians to the buffer zone: 65 people have been brought back home.
65 Ukrainians who were taken by Russia to the buffer zone at the border with Georgia have left Ukraine
Among those returning were 10 women and 8 seriously injured individuals. This was reported today, August 22, by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga.
'Thanks to joint efforts, another large group of our citizens was able to be brought back from Georgia through the territory of Moldova to Ukraine on August 21 and 22. All were at the Georgian border crossing "Dariali" practically under conditions of a humanitarian crisis caused by actions of Russia,' - he emphasized.
People were brought to the buffer zone without documents, means of existence, access to food, and medical assistance.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko, emphasized that the Russian Federation has violated international and humanitarian laws.
Let us remember that as part of the initiative of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, Bring Kids Back UA, it was possible to bring back another five of our citizens from the temporarily occupied territories - four young people and one small child - to Ukraine.
