Social Taxi in Zaporizhzhia: Who can use the service and how.
According to inkorr.com: In Zaporizhzhia, a free 'Social Taxi' for people with disabilities and military personnel has been functioning for almost a year. This service was launched on January 15 as part of the municipal social service center and has gradually become accessible to a wider population group. This is reported by ZPRZ.city.
The service quickly gained popularity: by mid-September, 1905 rides were completed, and in the second half of September and October – another 501. Result: In less than 10 months, 2406 rides were conducted. 268 citizens have used the service, including military personnel, people with disabilities, children, and mobility-impaired residents of Zaporizhzhia. The city emphasizes that this service significantly changes people's lives, promotes their mobility, and provides the opportunity to visit hospitals, banks, train stations, administrative centers, or rehabilitation centers.
Who can use the 'Social Taxi' in Zaporizhzhia and what should you know
The right to use the service is granted to:
Military personnel, people with disabilities, war veterans, and mobility-impaired citizens.
To order, one must contact the municipal social service center by phone or in person: Rekordnaja Street, 9a.
The request must be submitted two days in advance; for military personnel, one day is sufficient.
Baggage limit: up to 20 kg, dimensions no larger than 50×50×50 cm.
How many 'Social Taxi' vehicles are there in Zaporizhzhia in 2025
Currently, three specialized vehicles are in operation in the city, but an expansion of the fleet is planned – Zaporizhzhia will receive Fiat Ducato under a project of the UNDP and the government of the Republic of Korea. These vehicles complete dozens of rides daily and arrive on time to wait at the passenger's house.
