Triple service for military personnel: how to receive a pension for length of service

According to ТСН: Military personnel serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine have certain guarantees regarding their insurance and work experience.

The Pension Fund of Ukraine has confirmed that the entire period of service for conscripts is counted as insurance and work experience, and also included in the length of service.

Even time spent in captivity is considered insurance experience. If the employer has not paid insurance contributions for the conscript, this period does not lose its entitlement for pension payment and does not interrupt professional experience.

Additionally, mobilization is not a reason for dismissal. During service, the employer simply relieves the employee of their duties, makes an entry in the labor book, but retains their job position.

Counting service in combat zones

Service in combat zones is counted in triple size for insurance experience, which opens the possibility of receiving a pension for length of service from 55 years for men and 50 years for women.

Documents for pension application

To receive a pension considering the triple service, military personnel must submit original documents to the Pension Fund:

  • passport
  • registration number of taxpayer's card
  • certificate of combatant status
  • certificate of service in combat zones
  • labor book or documents about service experience (papers on military service)
  • certificates of salary or monetary allowance (if there is no salary information in the Register of Insured Persons)
  • photo for pension certificate.

Thus, military personnel can now be confident in their rights to social protection, even during service. In the event of mobilization, their labor rights remain intact, which is an important factor for maintaining morale and motivation in the army. This innovation emphasizes the state's attention to the needs of its defenders and provides them with a future.
