Personnel changes in the Office of the President: how Yermak's resignation will affect Ukraine's position

According to ТСН: Personnel changes in the Office of the President may strengthen Ukraine's position in the international arena.

Military-political expert Mykhailo Samus expressed this opinion during a telethon. He noted that the Russian side tried to exploit the situation with corruption scandals in the energy and defense sectors to pressure Ukraine and force it to sign an unfavorable peace agreement.

“Our state, on the other hand, has shown that it can respond to corruption scandals. And now it is the Russians who are in an uncomfortable position, publicly saying they want to continue fighting,” Samus noted.

The expert emphasized that much will depend on the further actions of the government, especially the changes that will occur in the new presidential vertical. He stressed that the previous structure was formed over the years, so the new one will also need time to recover.

Mykhailo Samus also noted that changes in the presidential vertical will not directly affect the military aspect but may lead to changes in military leadership, where new individuals may come in.

It should be noted that the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, signed a decree on the dismissal of Andriy Yermak from the position of head of the Office of the President. Yermak's dismissal came after NABU and SAP conducted authorized searches at the home of the head of the Office of the President as part of a criminal proceeding.

These events currently reflect both the political and social situation in Ukraine. Changes in leadership may be an important step towards improving international relations and increasing trust in Ukrainian institutions among partners. Further actions of the state in this area will be monitored by both Ukrainian society and international partners. The situation will remain under close control, especially in the context of current challenges.
