Anomalous Warmth in Ukraine: Dnipro Sets Water Temperature Record.

According to ТСН: At the end of November 2025, an unusually warm weather is observed in Ukraine, resembling early October more than the end of autumn. The average daily temperature exceeds the norm, and the water temperature in the Dnipro reached 8°C, which is a record for this period. Forecasts indicate that the beginning of December will start in a warm autumn atmosphere.

Anomalous Warmth and Dnipro Records

Weather forecasters report that November 2025 is characterized by temperatures ranging from 9–11°C, which is an abnormally high figure for this season. This phenomenon is due to the blocking of cyclones from the east, which cannot reach most of Ukraine and, instead, are moving south and west. Southern winds bring unusual warmth for the end of autumn.

This anomaly has also affected the water temperature in the Dnipro, which is recorded at a record level for November.

"The average daily temperature of 9–11°C is more akin to the climate of the first decade of October, rather than the end of autumn. The water temperature in the Dnipro reacted to this warmth anomaly, standing at 8°C, which is the highest value for this time during the entire period of hydrological observations," emphasized Vitaliy Postryhan.

Interference of the Anticyclone 'Zuleika'

Despite the general warmth, the weather will change in the last days of November. After light rains, the anticyclone 'Zuleika' will begin to intervene, coming from the southeast.

This will mean that in the upcoming weekend, November 29–30, a cooling is expected, and the amount of precipitation will decrease. The average daily temperature is expected to be at 4–6 degrees Celsius, still above the climatic norm. At night, the temperature will fluctuate between 1 to 6 degrees Celsius, while during the day it will range from 3 to 8 degrees.

Fog and Autumn's Start of Winter

Weather forecasters also note that the last days of autumn may be accompanied by fogs, which will particularly arise during dark hours.

According to preliminary forecasts, in the first decade of December, the anticyclone will continue to block rains. Thus, the calendar winter will begin in a warm and dry atmosphere.

It is also worth noting that cats may become natural 'forecasters' in your home, reacting to changes in temperature and atmospheric pressure, which can help in predicting the weather, especially the winter colds.
