Anti-drone nets are being deployed in the Kharkiv region: which areas are being prioritized for protection.
Expansion of anti-drone nets in Kharkiv region
According to ТСН: In the Kharkiv region, anti-drone nets are being actively installed. This process is taking place in the Kupiansk, Izyum, and Lozova directions. This was reported during a press conference by the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleg Synehubov.
He noted that the priorities for the installation of nets take into account the needs of the Defense Forces and logistical routes, especially paying attention to the Lozova direction, which serves as an evacuation corridor.
"What are our priority directions - Kupiansk, Izyum, the direction towards Donetsk. Now the Lozova direction, because this is our evacuation corridor"
Synehubov emphasized that the plans for the installation of nets are formed in close cooperation with the military, and the protection of the civilian population remains one of the main tasks.
Anti-drone nets are also being installed on the ring road of Kharkiv. These works are being carried out by the Infrastructure Restoration and Development Service with the support of the State Special Transport Service and the units of the State Agency for Restoration.
According to Synehubov, it is necessary to install nets on hundreds of kilometers of roads, with a work pace of about 10 kilometers per day.
"The scale is colossal. We are working around the clock: we have completed 100 kilometers — another 100 is added"
This expansion of anti-drone nets in the Kharkiv region is an important step in ensuring security in the context of the modern conflict. The installation of such systems helps not only soldiers but also civilians who can feel safer during evacuations and in other critical situations. The continuation of work in this direction indicates the serious intentions of the local authorities to protect the residents of the region and the infrastructure.
