High-Level Delegation Visits Kyiv on June 23
According to Novyny.live: On June 23, 2023, a delegation comprising Japanese officials Kenji Yamada and Ayano Kunimitsu, alongside Mathias Cormann, Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), arrived in Kyiv. The Japanese representatives used the occasion to reaffirm their country’s steadfast support for Ukraine, marking a significant milestone in strengthening bilateral cooperation.
During the visit, Andriy Sybiha held a meeting with Mathias Cormann to discuss key areas of mutual interest, including:
- Infrastructure development
- Public governance reforms

'We greatly value the OECD’s reviews on infrastructure, public governance, and justice policy,' Andriy Sybiha stated.
The Japanese officials also participated in a flower-laying ceremony at the Wall of Remembrance near St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery. This symbolic gesture honored the memory of those who lost their lives and underscored solidarity with Ukraine during a challenging period.
