Arctic cold and summer storms: Ukrainians warned about weather swings in May.
In May, Ukrainians will have to endure significant temperature fluctuations; instead of warmth, there will be cold Arctic air. From May 2 to 4, temperatures may drop below zero. These fluctuations are typical for May, even after a warm spring there may be night frosts. Usually, by mid-May, summer weather phenomena begin, but for the weather to be truly summer-like, the average daily temperature must consistently exceed +15 degrees Celsius.
Forecaster Volodymyr Derkach predicts a cold first decade of May with moderate temperatures that will remain until mid-month. Then, warming is expected, although precipitation is possible. In the second decade, temperatures will rise, but the weather will be unstable with short-lived downpours. In the third decade, weather conditions will again worsen with decreasing temperatures, strengthening winds, and increasing humidity. However, at the end of the month, a return of comfortable weather is expected.
This forecast indicates that May will be an unstable month with periods of cold and warmth. It is worth being prepared for temperature fluctuations and ready for changing weather conditions in different regions of Ukraine.
