A Conference Focused on Media Literacy in Ukraine

According to Espreso.tv: As Ukraine contends with ongoing disinformation campaigns and cyber threats, media literacy has become a critical issue. From July 2-3, Kyiv hosted a major conference that unveiled a roadmap for media literacy development in Ukraine up to 2030, with special emphasis on digital literacy and AI literacy.

Major threats identified during the event were the use of artificial intelligence for disinformation, a rise in cyberattacks, and the spread of Russian propaganda. The conference also highlighted deteriorating working conditions for journalists and unstable financial models for media organizations.
