Odesa Targeted in Major Drone Assault
According to TSN.ua: In the early hours of February 9, the city of Odesa came under a concentrated attack by Iranian-made Shahed drones. The assault resulted in the death of a 35-year-old man, with two other individuals, including a 19-year-old woman, sustaining injuries. These attacks are part of a wider pattern of strikes on Ukrainian cities.
Extensive Damage to Residential Area
The drone strike caused severe damage to residential buildings, with the impact including:
- Damage to 21 apartments;
- 39 apartment windows shattered;
- 18 windows broken in common areas;
- Two vehicles destroyed;
- Six vehicles damaged.
Serhii Lysak reported damage to civilian infrastructure in the Primorskyi district. This incident underscores the persistent danger faced by civilians in the region as the conflict continues. The ongoing war has seen a shift towards the increased use of drone warfare against urban centers.
