Poland Has Scrambled Fighters Due to the Threat of Russian Missiles on Ukraine.
According to ТСН: On the night of December 27, Poland activated its military aviation in response to a potential threat of a Russian missile attack on Ukraine.
This was reported by the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces on social media.
“Due to the activity of the long-range aviation of the Russian Federation, which is conducting strikes on the territory of Ukraine, military aviation has started operating in Polish airspace,” the statement said.
It was noted that Polish fighters “have begun operations, and ground air defense and radar reconnaissance systems are on standby.”
These actions are preventive in nature and aim to ensure safety and protect airspace, especially in areas that may be threatened.
It is recalled that an attack on Ukrainian territory occurred at night. Air raid sirens sounded across all regions, and powerful explosions were heard in Kyiv and its suburbs. In the Kyiv region, one civilian was injured, and damage to residential buildings, enterprises, and infrastructure facilities was recorded in several areas.
These events once again confirm the escalation of tension in the region, where Ukraine's security remains at risk due to aggression from Russia. Poland, as a neighboring country, is taking measures to protect its borders and support the territorial integrity of Ukraine during this difficult time.
