Strikes on Kharkiv and Chuhuiv

According to Espreso.tv: Russian drone attacks have been reported in Kharkiv and Chuhuiv, resulting in civilian casualties and damage to buildings. In Kharkiv, 15 people were injured, including three children—one of them a one-year-old boy. Three women were also hospitalized.

In Chuhuiv, the attacks left three people dead and three others wounded. Approximately eight apartment buildings and more than ten private homes were damaged in the shelling.

Oleh Syniehubov reported: 'Preliminary information indicates a hostile drone struck the Kholodnohirskyi district of Kharkiv.'
Halyna Minaieva noted: 'Firefighting operations are underway at the impact sites, with all emergency services responding.'

These events occurred on June 8, the same day Russian forces launched drone strikes on residential buildings in Konotop, Sumy region, as well as attacks on Odesa and Kharkiv. This wave of assaults underscores the escalating use of unmanned aerial vehicles against populated areas.

Escalation in Eastern Ukraine

These attacks highlight a worsening situation in eastern Ukraine, where drones have become a primary tool of warfare. According to government officials, such strikes on civilian targets continue to devastate both infrastructure and the lives of residents.

Incidents like these are likely to worsen the humanitarian crisis in the region and increase the need for aid to victims. Both Kharkiv and Chuhuiv remain under threat, and their defenses require reinforcement to meet these new challenges.
