Deadly Attacks in Sumy
According to TSN.ua: A series of Russian strikes across the Sumy region has left three people dead and 13 others injured. The attacks struck multiple communities, causing devastating losses for local residents.
Incident Details
In the Khutir-Mykhailivskyi community, two brothers aged 37 and 33 were killed. Meanwhile, in the Velyka Pysarivka community, a 62-year-old man died and a 55-year-old man was wounded. The Esman community saw four civilians hurt: two men aged 69 and 61, along with women aged 50 and 73. In the Vorozhba community, two men aged 64 and 65 were injured, and in the Khotin community, a 69-year-old man sustained wounds.
Within the Sumy city community, men aged 28 and 49, as well as a 23-year-old young man, were wounded. Additionally, on March 18, in the village of Uzdytsia, two children—ages 13 and 10—found an object that exploded; one of them was hospitalized with injuries. These events highlight the severity of the situation in the region and the devastating impact of military hostilities on civilians.
This incident further underscores a troubling pattern of increasing attacks on civilian targets in Ukraine, leading to mounting casualties among non-combatants. As a border region, Sumy continues to bear the brunt of the conflict, emphasizing the urgent need for international attention and support to protect civilian lives.
