The largest Israeli airline El Al has halted flights from Tel Aviv to Moscow due to events in Russian airspace. This was reported by Channel 9 Israel.

Flights are temporarily suspended for a week. After a re-evaluation of the situation, a decision will be made regarding their resumption.

It is reminded that a passenger Embraer aircraft crashed at Aktau airport during a flight from Baku to Grozny. There were 67 passengers and 5 crew members onboard. Among them were 37 citizens of Azerbaijan, 16 Russians, 6 citizens of Kazakhstan, and 3 citizens of Kyrgyzstan.

Later, Rosaviation reported that the preliminary cause of the air disaster was a collision with birds. 'After a collision with birds due to an emergency situation on board, the commander decided to land at an alternate airfield - Aktau' - the message says. It was also reported that an oxygen cylinder exploded on the crashed aircraft, causing people to lose consciousness.

At the crash site of the Azerbaijan Airlines aircraft, a black box was found. According to the chief transport prosecutor of Kazakhstan, Timur Suleimanov, the black box has already been removed. The flight recorder found at the scene of the tragedy will be used as evidence in the criminal proceedings.

According to the head of the Ukrainian Center for Counteracting Disinformation Andriy Kovalensky, the air disaster of the Embraer 190 aircraft in Kazakhstan was caused by a Russian anti-aircraft missile system. His words indicate that the Russian military harmed the aircraft, which was sent to Kazakhstan 'instead of immediately landing in Grozny and saving people's lives.'
