Artem Dubina, a resident of Nikopol and a fighter of the 'Azov' battalion, shared his experience of recovery after captivity in Russian prisons. After his release, he received support and is preparing to return to the front lines. Dubina also noted that the ability to communicate in Ukrainian without torture became a great comfort for him after a long period in captivity.

«At first, there was an agreement that we would have certain conditions of captivity, there would be no torture. There would be a certain period during which we would be held and then returned to Ukraine. However, the Russians once again demonstrated that they cannot be trusted... Torture began. We were held in Olenivka, but gradually they started taking people to Donetsk and other places,» Dubina shares.

Artem described mass beatings and torture in Russian captivity, where plastic pipes and Tasers were used. He also mentioned that they were kept isolated from information about the situation in Ukraine, but thanks to the support of each other among comrades, they were able to survive this difficult time.
