Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted that Russia has no restrictions regarding the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF) and can take appropriate actions if necessary. This information is being reported by Russian media.
Kremlin comments on the refusal of the INF Treaty
'Russia no longer has any restrictions on this matter, Russia no longer considers itself to be limited in any way. Accordingly, Russia considers itself entitled to take appropriate steps if necessary', he stated in response to Russian propagandists' questions regarding the INF Treaty.
Peskov was asked whether Vladimir Putin had made any specific decisions regarding the deployment of such missile systems.
'One should hardly expect announcements here. After all, this is in the defense sphere. It is a rather sensitive and non-public area', he replied.
It is noteworthy that the head of the Center for the Protection of Democracy, Andriy Kovalenko, reported that Russia has canceled the moratorium on deploying intermediate- and shorter-range missiles (INF) on land.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed the conditions for ending the conflict in Ukraine.
