Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation after 949 days of war. He spoke about the rescue operation in Zaporizhia, negotiations in the USA, and expressed gratitude to the State Emergency Service and police officers.

Dear Ukrainians! Today in Zaporizhia - fourteen wounded people after a Russian attack. The clearing of the rubble continues all day. Two people were saved from the rubble. Air bombs - on usual residential buildings, on usual urban objects.

Today, the Russians also struck with guided bombs at Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Sumy regions. In Hlukhiv, several residential buildings were damaged. In Kharkiv, a high-rise building, energy, and medical infrastructure were damaged. This is daily Russian terror. Russia uses about a hundred guided air bombs every day against Ukraine. This reminds all our partners who can help of the need for more support for Ukraine, more air defense, and sanctions against Russia. Our position and arguments were carefully heard during the negotiations in America. So, there is no more doubt. Our teams, as well as the teams of our partners, have begun preparations for "Ramstein". In October, together with other leaders, we will determine joint steps to increase pressure on Russia in this war and for the sake of peace.

The president especially noted the employees of the State Emergency Service and the police who help the wounded and save people from Russian strikes. He expressed gratitude to the entire team of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, and also highlighted individual employees who work in Zaporizhia, Dnipro and Sumy regions. He also thanked the employees of the National Police, who saved people from a Russian strike in Kryvyi Rih.

The president recalled that on September 29, Russia attacked residential buildings in Zaporizhia, which caused changes in train movement in this region. The head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, reacted to this event, emphasizing the need for more weapons for Ukraine and creating conditions that will have a stronger impact on the economy of the Russian Federation.
