The story of Vladyslav Karetniy, a National Guard soldier
According to inkorr.com: 25-year-old National Guard soldier Vladyslav Karetniy spent a long time in Russian captivity, where, unable to write down, he created over 20 songs, memorizing them. He dedicated the first composition to his mother. Currently, Vladyslav lives in Kyiv region, recovering after his release.
During captivity, Karetniy, along with other soldiers, endured humiliation and torture, but music was always a source of strength for him.
“Already when we were taken to Russia, we realized that this was captivity, what this actually was. There were beatings, humiliation, and torture, in short, there was everything,” Karetniy explained.
After returning to Ukraine, Vladyslav began recording his songs, the first of which was a piece dedicated to his mother. He hopes to receive support for the release of an album titled 'Songs born in captivity,' which is to symbolize faith in a better future.
This story testifies to the courage of the National Guard soldier, who in the toughest moments forced himself to create, for which now he strives to have his music heard. Music became a path to survival and hope for him, and now he wishes for his creativity to be recognized, helping him recover after the heavy experiences in captivity.
