Trump's Plan for the War in Ukraine: Ex-Advisor Bolton Criticizes the Initiative.
According to ТСН:
"The peace plan" of U.S. President Donald Trump rewards Russia's aggression.
Former U.S. National Security Advisor John Bolton shared his views on the peace plan proposed to Ukraine. He believes that Trump supports positions that may benefit the Kremlin.
"Perhaps Trump supported Whitcoff's move, or perhaps he did not, but the obvious first step of the U.S. President's special representative after the conversation with Ushakov was organizing a phone call between Putin and Trump, which thwarted Zelensky's attempts to convince the American president to transfer Tomahawk missiles to Kyiv. This is not normal 'honest mediation.' This is just a pro-Russian position," Bolton noted.
Bolton believes that Trump cares more about his approval ratings than stability in Ukraine.
"The West once again faces the task of preventing this latest diplomatic initiative from benefiting the Kremlin. To succeed, Ukraine's friends must recognize that Trump is indifferent to what impact any settlement will have on Ukraine. He is interested in how it will affect himself," he added.
Plan to End the War
The Axios publication reports that the Trump administration is developing a plan to end Russia's war in Ukraine. According to anonymous sources, this plan consists of 28 points grouped into four key categories: peace in Ukraine, security guarantees, security in Europe, and future relations between the U.S., Ukraine, and Russia.
Moreover, Trump warned Volodymyr Zelensky that Kyiv must agree to his proposed 28-point plan, noting that Ukraine has time until November 27, but that did not happen.
This situation highlights the complexities of international relations and the challenges facing Ukraine amid military aggression from Russia. Trump's position and his approaches to peaceful settlement remain under close scrutiny both in Ukraine and in international circles, which seek effective solutions for restoring peace in the region.
