According to ТСН: Military expert Oleksiy Hetman notes that in the current situation at the front, it is important to constantly check the validity of conscription for certain categories of men.

In his comments, he emphasizes that there are many individuals who evade service, as well as cases of unauthorized abandonment of units.

“It is unacceptable that a certain number of people support this. At the same time, there are people in essential professions who are needed in the rear. Under this pretext, there are also people who apply for conscription without basis. Therefore, conscription must be continuously checked,” believes Hetman.

Hetman also points out that, according to statistics known to him, the situation with conscription in Ukraine has improved at least as of October this year.

“I have no right to disclose numbers, but the plan has been fulfilled. It has even been exceeded by several percent. There is no critical situation, but of course, more personnel are needed,” says the expert.

Moreover, he draws attention to the fact that the year-round conscription of conscripts in Russia may indicate the occupiers' intentions to replace contractors who serve in the rear.

“And the contractors will go to the front line. This is the first. Secondly, it is much easier to convince a conscript to sign a contract than a person off the street. The number of individuals that the Russians currently have at the front line does not allow them to achieve the desired success. Therefore, the Russian Federation will seek various paths. What they will find — we shall see,” says the analyst.

These comments highlight the importance of monitoring conscription, as this issue can significantly impact the situation at the front. The situation with conscription in Ukraine, according to Hetman, is improving, but the need for personnel remains relevant. It is also worth paying attention to Russia's actions, which indicate their plans for mobilization and strengthening their positions at the front line.
