In response to a question about what makes Ukrainian intelligence unique compared to other countries, Budanov said:
'This question will be answered by someone over time. Here and now, what can I say? I believe that it is so, yes. And someone in 20-30 years will look around, read books and say: 'Who knows what you all were doing, whether good or bad'.
The head of intelligence emphasized that time always evaluates actions, be they good or bad.
Regarding the presence of outstanding personalities in intelligence, like Henry Kissinger in his field, Budanov said:
'Yes, and many of these people are still alive. Such people exist.'
However, Budanov refused to name them, explaining that it could lead to offense and unpleasantness.
'I don't want to. We might offend people now. I know how this is perceived. You mentioned one, but not me. They get very offended.', – the Ukrainian intelligence officer said.
Recently, Kyrylo Budanov revealed who helped to gather unique information, particularly mentioning sex workers and escort women.
He also emphasized that it is easier to involve men in Russian special services than women.
As a result of the unique interview with the head of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov, it turned out that the country's intelligence has its own peculiarities, as well as outstanding specialists who know their business. It was also noted that some aspects of intelligence work may be more complex than they seem at first glance, and the involvement of women in these processes can be particularly significant. Thus, openness and imprudence in word choice can influence the perception not only of the named individuals but also of the entire Ukrainian intelligence agency as a whole.
