Time is working against us. The commander of Azov addressed the military command.
The commander of the Azov brigade calls for changes in military management
The commander of the Azov brigade, Colonel Denis Prokopenko, expressed his proposals for changes in military management and the organization of forces for conducting warfare. He outlined his thoughts on his Facebook page.
The great war requires great changes. This concerns the principles of conducting war, procedures for managing troops, the role and place of units on the battlefield, and not the wide assortment of Western weapons and beautiful tags in Latin on the doors of offices. Strategic mistakes in planning cannot be compensated for at the tactical level when the enemy has a significant advantage in practically everything.
According to Prokopenko, the Russians have been leveraging their advantages in the war since February 2022, thanks to the concept of managing operational-tactical and operational-strategic level units. This concept allows Russian commands to prepare and manage their units more effectively than Ukrainian commanders, who often conduct warfare with attached units.
Prokopenko emphasizes that this approach leads to a deterioration of interaction, loss of command, and failure to carry out combat tasks. He proposes creating divisions and army corps to improve military management and strengthen defense.
- Unity of command.
- Initiative.
- Improvement of military management processes and defense sustainability.
- Reducing manual management at the tactical level, allowing the general staff to focus more on strategic planning.
Prokopenko emphasizes the necessity of implementing reforms and accumulating resources for victory. He urges everyone to reflect on this, as the war will last for a long time.
Recently, the Chief Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, met with blogger and volunteer Serhii Sternenko, who had accused him of persecution for demanding reforms in the army.
At the front, continued advancement of Russian occupiers has been recorded in some areas of Kharkiv and Donetsk regions.
