Expert: Russia could advance 100 km to Dnipro in the worst-case scenario.
According to ТСН: The Russian army continues to try to advance into Ukrainian territory. Currently, the enemy is managing to capture individual settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk region, but the situation could become more complicated. This year, residents of the region might expect serious events at the front.
Main target of the occupiers
According to military expert Ivan Stupak, even in a 'positive' scenario, the Dnipropetrovsk region is expecting intense shelling and attempts by the enemy to get closer to Pavlograd. This city is strategically important for Ukraine's defense capability.
"This could become an extremely unpleasant development for us. After all, Pavlograd is a city that is significant for Ukraine: there was a defense industry and at one time a rocket program. So I think that the task of capturing Pavlograd stands before the Russian troops," stressed Ivan Stupak.
Worst-case scenario
The expert also outlined a negative variant of developments. If the occupiers carry out their plans, the line of contact could critically approach the regional center.
This scenario envisions a breakthrough of enemy troops to a distance of approximately 100 km to the city of Dnipro. As Stupak noted, such a situation would be a significant challenge for the region —
"it will be fear and horror."
At the same time, the expert emphasized that the greatest threat of occupation has recently hung over Pavlograd, which the Russians will try to take control of at any cost.
It is worth recalling that earlier in the troops group 'Kursk' reported that the settlement of Andriivka in the Sumy region is under the full control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The military noted that, despite attempts by the Russian occupiers to expand the combat zone in Sumy region, there has been no occupation of Andriivka.
The situation at the front remains tense, and strategic settlements such as Pavlograd are under threat. Experts and military focus their attention on potential enemy actions, which may affect the further development of the conflict in the region. It is important for Ukraine to strengthen its defensive positions to prevent the occupiers' offensive actions.
