Ukraine and Romania plan to enhance cooperation in implementing joint infrastructure projects to strengthen their ties. For example, the construction of a bridge over the Tisza River is planned.

The meeting of Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko with Romanian Foreign Minister Oana-Silvia Sava concluded with an agreed cooperation plan, as reported by the Government Portal.

Details of the negotiations

During the meeting, issues related to Euro-integration, military cooperation, and the participation of Romanian companies in the revival of the Ukrainian economy and joint infrastructure projects were discussed.

“Ukraine and Romania have common prospects for the future of our region in the European Union. We are grateful for Romania's support on this path and strive to coordinate our efforts even more closely in the process of gaining membership,” emphasized Yulia Svyrydenko.

The possibility of deepening military cooperation was also discussed, particularly regarding the joint production of military goods directly in Ukraine.

Bridge between Ukraine and Romania

Special attention was paid to involving Romanian companies in the process of rebuilding Ukraine by appointing a special envoy for reconstruction matters. It is also planned to intensify joint infrastructure projects, particularly the construction of a bridge over the Tisza River.

The meeting between Ukraine and Romania opens up new opportunities for cooperation and joint development, demonstrating the readiness of both countries for fruitful collaboration in various fields.
