Czech volunteers delivered a Black Hawk helicopter to Ukraine: fundraising supported by 20 thousand people.
According to inkorr.com: Czech volunteers have handed over a Black Hawk UH-60 helicopter to Ukraine by raising funds through the initiative Darek pro Putina. This campaign was supported by 20 thousand people, including Slovaks.
Statement from the volunteers
'The Black Hawk UH-60 helicopter Čestmír is in Ukraine. We thank everyone who believed in this and made their contribution. There were more than 20 thousand of you. Today, the Czech Republic became the first country in the world whose citizens donated a helicopter to Ukraine. Many Slovaks also helped. It has been an honor for us,' the statement reads.
The volunteers also showcased photos of the delivered helicopter.
Background of the event
Let us recall that in March, the initiative Dárek pro Putina became known for raising funds to purchase the UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter for the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
This gesture of assistance reflects the strength of ties between the Czech Republic and Ukraine, as well as the desire of Czechs to support the Ukrainian people in difficult times. The Black Hawk UH-60 helicopter, as an important element of military technology, will help strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities and also demonstrate solidarity between countries.
