According to ТСН: The Air Forces of Ukraine reported a missile attack on Lviv, which was carried out by Russia from the training ground 'Kapustin Yar'. According to monitoring channels, a missile of the type 'Oreschnik' was used.

Details of the incident

Yuri Ihnat, the head of the communications department of the Air Force Command, provided further information:

"We are aware that explosions were heard in the Lviv region. At that time, a missile warning was issued throughout Ukraine. There was a warning about the threat from ballistic missiles. It is likely that launches took place from the training ground on the territory of the RF 'Kapustin Yar'. Afterwards, explosions were heard in the Lviv region"

Missile threat

We remind that on January 8 at around 11:30 PM, a missile warning was issued throughout Ukraine due to the threat of ballistic missile launches from the training ground 'Kapustin Yar', which led to explosions in the Lviv region.

The Air Command 'West' specified that the strike was aimed at the infrastructure facilities of Lviv.

According to the command, the missile was moving at a speed of about 13,000 kilometers per hour on a ballistic trajectory. At the same time, they promise to announce the type of missile after examining its elements.
