Personnel changes in the government postponed: when to expect new appointments.
According to ТСН: The Verkhovna Rada does not plan to consider personnel appointments this plenary week.
Deputy head of the "Servant of the People" faction Yevheniya Kravchuk reported this.
She noted that the faction meeting concluded that "a complete government reboot is not expedient at the moment," although targeted changes in governance are still planned. However, decisions on this will not be made this week, as the candidate selection process requires more time.
"At the faction meeting, we agreed that a complete government reboot is not expedient. However, it is obvious that further targeted personnel changes in the executive branch will occur... Nevertheless, this week it will not be possible to vote on personnel decisions, as the selection process may take a little longer," she said.
The faction has already determined the algorithm for the preliminary selection of candidates for vacant positions. These issues will be addressed by the relevant parliamentary committees: energy for the Ministry of Energy, legal policy for the Ministry of Justice. After being considered in committee, candidates must receive the support of the faction and also be coordinated with the Prime Minister and President.
Kravchuk also informed that the vacancy for the head of the State Property Fund remains open. The selection of candidates for this position will be carried out by the committee on economic policy.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the candidate for the position of Minister of Justice has already been determined.
In addition, the Verkhovna Rada voted for the dismissal of Minister of Justice Herman Halushchenko, who is involved in the 'Midas' case.
Thus, the Verkhovna Rada is adopting a cautious approach to personnel changes in the government. While a total reboot is not planned, targeted changes are becoming important for adapting to new challenges. At the same time, delays in appointments may affect the efficiency of government work during this critical period.
