According to ТСН: In Mississippi, a man named Darika Moore committed the murder of six individuals, including a seven-year-old girl.

Authorities confirmed that the 24-year-old man shot several family members and a priest at three different locations near West Point. These horrific events occurred after relatives prevented him from committing sexual violence against one of the victims.

“This really struck us. In nearly 30 years — this is one of the most complex cases I have ever worked on,” said Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott at a press conference.

On Friday evening, Moore killed his 67-year-old father, 55-year-old uncle, and older brother.

After the murders, he stole his brother's car and fled the scene. Police and special services initiated a massive operation to find him.

According to law enforcement information, the man headed to his second home, where he attempted to commit sexual assault on another victim.

It was there that he killed the seven-year-old girl.

“I don't understand what motivation a person could have to kill a seven-year-old child,” the sheriff said regarding this.

Predictably, after this, he shot two more brothers, one of whom was a pastor of a local church. After the last crime, Moore continued his flight, but he was arrested the very next day.

District Attorney Scott Colom expressed his intention to review the issue of applying the death penalty, calling this case “the most horrific possible.”
