According to ТСН: DTEK explained why there were still no power outage schedules in Kyiv on the evening of January 13, and why there were emergency power outages.

DTEK's press service reported that Russia again attacked the energy system in the morning. As a result of these attacks, energy facilities suffered significant damage. This has led to prolonged emergency outages in Kyiv, as well as in the Brovary and Boryspil districts.

Factors that led to the outages

During emergency outages, schedules do not work.

“We are struggling and we are very tired. But the work does not stop for a moment. 629 DTEK crews are working around the clock. Thank you to everyone who supports the energy workers in these difficult times. The light holds on,” the company stated.

Earlier, the Ministry of Energy warned that even after the restoration of the expected hourly outages in Kyiv, the schedules would be strict.

In addition, it should be noted that in Kyiv more than 700 buildings have already been without heating for four days, and the city has switched to emergency power outages.
