Long-range capability must finally be ensured to end this war, - Zelensky.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in his evening address on October 3 summed up the results of the 953rd day of the war and the meeting with the new NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
Zelensky emphasized the importance of Rutte's visit to Kyiv immediately after taking office. "This is a symbolic visit to Ukraine – immediately after assuming the powers of the Alliance Secretary General. And now the main thing is – to actually fill such a priority with decisions," noted the president.
The president stated the importance of strengthening the front and the long-range capability of weapons to end the war. "Timeliness in support – this is resilience on the front. The front must be strengthened. And the long-range capability must finally be ensured exactly as needed to end this war," said Zelensky.
The president paid special attention to Ukraine's air defense ahead of the winter. He noted that the technologies used in the Middle East can be effective in Ukraine as well. "What works in the sky over the Middle East and helps Israel's defense can work in the sky over our part of Europe too, helping to save lives in Ukraine," highlighted Zelensky.
The president also reported on the briefing by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Syrskyi on the situation at the front, particularly in the Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions. Zelensky thanked the Ukrainian military for their effective actions, especially noting the 35th Separate Marine Brigade, the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade, the 68th Separate Jaeger Brigade, the 102nd Separate Territorial Defense Brigade, the 118th Separate Mechanized Brigade, and the 425th Separate Assault Battalion.
