Sustained a fatal injury during the battles in Kursk. Let's remember Andrii Drozd.

Every day at 9 a.m., Ukrainians honor the memory of all whose lives were taken by the Russian-Ukrainian war. Today, we remember Andrii Drozd. 

On January 16, 2025, as a result of a mortar shelling near the settlement of Pohrebky in the Sujan district of the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, Andrii Oleksiyovych Drozd was killed. This was reported by the Tulchyn District State Administration. 

The hero was born on February 4, 1980, in the village of Danykivka of the Illinets community.

After finishing school, he entered the Barsk vocational school, where he learned the profession of painter and plasterer-builder. He lived in the village of Soroky in the Illinets community, doing his favorite work.

The full-scale invasion of the Russian aggressor changed the life of Andrii Oleksiyovych. He left his peaceful life, put on a uniform, and began to defend his homeland.

Called up for military service by the Vinnytsia RTC and SP, soldier Andrii Oleksiyovych Drozd served as a grenade launcher in the airborne assault company's airborne assault platoon.

Together with his comrades, he defended the independence of Ukraine and its territorial integrity, fighting daily for peace for Ukraine, his family, and each of us.

Until his last breath, the warrior remained faithful to his military oath and loyal to the Ukrainian people.

Will find his rest in Bratslav region

By the family's decision, Andrii Oleksiyovych will find his earthly rest in the Bratslav region, where he will be buried.
