Dnipro restores energy system after attack: how heating, water and transport are functioning.
According to ТСН: Dnipro is actively working on eliminating the consequences of enemy attacks on the energy system. As of 20:00, thanks to the joint efforts of energy workers and utility workers, it has been possible to stabilize important directions.
Water, heating and light
The city's mayor noted that the situation with water supply has already normalized, and electricity is gradually returning to homes. This allows for the restoration of heating supply, although the process promises to be complex.
"Heating specialists will work on this all night. In fact, this will be a new system launch, as done during the start of the heating season,"- explained the mayor.
Changes in transport movement
Due to unreliable electricity supply at traction substations, the city authorities decided not to release trams and trolleybuses onto the lines.
"Electric transport will be fully replaced by buses tomorrow until stable power supply returns to the traction substations,"- warned the mayor.
"We will not leave anyone in trouble"
The mayor of Dnipro also thanked the residents for their resilience and humanity. He talked about the atmosphere in the "Points of Invincibility", where people support each other: from children playing while their parents charge their devices to elderly women sharing food.
"Modest ladies of respectable age... bring fresh bread and cookies there because 'just in case it might be needed by someone else.' This is the feeling of unity that gives strength,"- emphasized the mayor.
It is important to note that the critical infrastructure of Dnipropetrovsk region, except for the city of Pavlograd, is supplied with electricity after the recent strike on the energy sector that caused a massive blackout. In Pavlograd, the restoration of electricity supply is complicated by Russian shelling, which constantly announces air alerts.
It is essential to mention that the events in Dnipro reflect the patience and cohesion of local residents who, despite difficult times, support each other. Such actions underline not only the efforts of the authorities but also the true humanity that manifests itself in challenging moments.
