Zelenskyy Reveals U.S. Requests for Drone Assistance as Russia’s Daily Oil Revenue Hits $150 Million.
Ukraine Seeks Help Against Iranian Drones
According to Novyny.live: In a March 13 interview with Radio France, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy disclosed that other nations—including the United States—have turned to Kyiv for support in countering Iranian drones. He emphasized that Ukraine has spent four years urging the international community to provide weapons, missiles, and air defense systems. These appeals from Washington and several Gulf states highlight a growing urgency to address the unmanned aerial vehicle threat.
Ukraine’s Aid and Priorities
Zelenskyy also confirmed that Ukraine has dispatched three teams of specialists to the Middle East to offer assistance. He stressed that protecting civilians remains the top priority, stating:
'My first reaction is simple. For us, this is about protecting civilian lives.'

He further addressed the flow of drones from Russia to Iran, which are being used to attack U.S. forces and their allies in the Middle East. 'These are Shahed drones manufactured on Russian soil. Iran used to send drones to Russia; now the reverse is happening. Russia is an ally of the Iranian regime,' Zelenskyy noted.
Additionally, he pointed out that Russia’s oil revenues have climbed to $150 million per day since the onset of the Middle East crisis—funds that, in his words, are 'immediately reinvested into Russia’s war efforts.' These developments underscore the critical need for international cooperation to counter aggression from Russia and its allies.
The interview reflects mounting global anxiety over the threats posed by Iranian drones to worldwide security. Requests for military aid from Ukraine, the U.S., and other nations demonstrate the necessity of joint action against emerging forms of aggression. Meanwhile, the deepening military partnership between Russia and Iran raises concerns about new challenges not only for Ukraine but also for other countries committed to regional peace.
