Commander-in-Chief Zaluzhnyi addressed Ukrainians from the center of London.
The professional holiday of diplomatic service workers in Ukraine is celebrated on December 22. On this occasion, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Great Britain, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, congratulated his colleagues from the center of London.
He emphasized that diplomacy is an art that requires a creative approach to solving international issues.
It is precisely thanks to diplomacy that nations and countries find difficult solutions in complex situations, preserving their identity, and most importantly - national interests
Zaluzhnyi reminded that in January 1917, the government of the Ukrainian People's Republic established a diplomatic mission in London to gain recognition of independent Ukraine by Great Britain.
The ambassador also showed the building where the first diplomatic mission of the Ukrainian People's Republic was located.
Despite modest conditions, Ukrainian diplomats managed to lay the foundations of international relations between Ukraine and Great Britain. It is thanks to the diplomats that the first public organizations supporting Ukraine appeared here. Some of these organizations, created then, still exist today
The Ambassador of Ukraine in London, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, released his first book titled 'My War'.
Also, a book about Valerii Zaluzhnyi titled 'Iron General. Lessons of Humanity' has already gone on sale. Its author is the former advisor to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Liudmyla Dolhonovska.
