According to TSN.ua: Engineers in Ukraine are actively developing exoskeletons designed to ease the physical strain on service members, particularly artillery crews and drone operators. These technologies are critical for improving working conditions, as they can reduce physical stress by up to 30%.

Ihor Bohdan, head of the unmanned systems unit for the 7th Corps of the Air Assault Forces, explained that the new support systems will focus on the back and arms. This will help soldiers carry heavy equipment more easily and complete tasks on the battlefield.

“Sometimes just reaching your position is 50% of the battle,” he emphasized, highlighting the importance of physical comfort and performance under harsh conditions.
These advancements aim to keep troops operational longer and reduce fatigue-related injuries.

Funding for exoskeleton purchases comes from volunteer contributions and partner support. This growing backing from society and businesses shows a commitment to investing in technologies that protect Ukrainian soldiers and improve their service conditions.

Why Exoskeleton Development Matters

Developing exoskeletons for Ukraine’s military marks a key step toward modernizing the armed forces and boosting their effectiveness. Such technologies can greatly reduce the physical demands on soldiers in combat, potentially enhancing their endurance and overall readiness.

The financial support from the public and private sectors reflects a rising awareness and sense of responsibility among citizens for their country’s fate during wartime.
