Trump gave Putin 10 days to end the war: what will happen next.
According to the head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak, this week there is a chance to stop the war unleashed by Russia against Ukraine, thanks to the influence of the USA on the Kremlin. He reported this in an interview with The Washington Post.
Yermak emphasized that Donald Trump clearly signaled: if Russia does not start negotiations, serious consequences await. The timeframe for response has been shortened from 50 days to 10 days. Yermak expressed confidence that it is now necessary to go beyond warnings and stop the war.
'Kyiv welcomes such clarity. We are grateful to Trump for his commitment to peace through strength, a commitment we support. President Zelensky made this a cornerstone of our stance, and Ukrainian strength has kept our nation alive. This strength is the only language Putin understands.'
According to Yermak, it is necessary to intensify the sanctions pressure. He emphasized the importance of including 'Rosatom' and 'Roscosmos' in the sanctions lists. Yermak also called for a complete economic blockade of Russia and disconnection from international financial resources.
Regarding the continuation of the war, Yermak believes that further steps depend on political will. Trump issued an ultimatum to Putin, which expires later this week. Yermak called for all possible tools to be used to stop Russia.
The representative of the President's Office of Ukraine Andriy Yermak expressed hope for a possible end to the war between Ukraine and Russia thanks to the influence of the USA on the Kremlin. He emphasized the necessity of intensifying sanctions pressure on the Russian Federation and called for all possible measures to be taken to stop the conflict.Read also
