According to UATV: Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna has stressed that Ukraine and Moldova should not be separated in their pursuit of European Union membership. He pointed out that a growing number of EU member states now agree on advancing both countries together through the accession process. In an interview with the Ukrinform news agency, Tsahkna noted that while each nation’s entry into the EU is evaluated on its own merits, Moldova and Ukraine currently operate under different conditions.

The minister emphasized that EU enlargement is not merely a technical procedure but also a political decision.

“Now I see more and more consensus on moving forward together,” said Margus Tsahkna

Support from the European Union

European Parliament President Roberta Metsola has also underscored the need for Ukraine to advance quickly toward EU membership. She stated that

“the bloc cannot use discussions about various integration models to delay Ukraine’s full membership,” according to Roberta Metsola
