Ministry of Foreign Affairs criticized Fico's offensive rhetoric
The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed negative feelings towards the statements of the Prime Minister of Slovakia. They warned against using 'unfriendly folkloric allegories' and raising political ratings at the expense of offensive comments about Ukraine.
“We warn against the use of unfriendly folkloric allegories and attempts to raise the political ratings of your party through such statements. This is recklessness that insults the memory of the fallen, the suffering of millions of Ukrainian families, and the sacrifice of those fighting for freedom”
'Elephants' and 'grass' — Fico's words about the US and Russia summit
Fico also caused outrage with his comments about the upcoming summit between the US and Russia. He stated that regardless of the outcome of the negotiations, Ukraine will be the one to suffer. The Prime Minister compared the situation to grass that suffers during the clashes of 'elephants.'
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine emphasized that such statements are beneficial to the Kremlin and undermine the unity of European states in the fight against Russian aggression.
