FP-7 Ballistic Missile Undergoes Testing
According to TSN.ua: Ukrainian defense company Fire Point has successfully tested its FP-7 ballistic missile, which boasts a reported range of 200 kilometers and can carry a 150-kilogram warhead. Co-owner Denis Shtilerman shared video of the launch on platform X, marking a significant milestone in the company's weapons development program. This test highlights Ukraine's growing domestic defense industry amid its ongoing conflict.
The FP-7 missile reaches speeds of 1,500 meters per second and has a circular error probable (CEP) of approximately 14 meters, indicating a high degree of accuracy. Mass production of the FP-7 could commence as early as May 2026, signaling Fire Point's intent to scale up its manufacturing capabilities.
Future Developments for Fire Point's Missile Program
Fire Point is already developing a new ballistic missile model, the FP-9, demonstrating the company's commitment to continuous innovation in rocket systems.
