France lifted all restrictions on Pavel Durov: what happened.
According to inkorr.com: French investigators have lifted the travel restrictions on Pavel Durov, the CEO of Telegram, who was detained in France in 2024. After four days in custody, posting bail, and being barred from leaving the country, Durov can now travel freely and leave France.
Easing of Restrictions
Earlier, in June, the restrictions were somewhat relaxed, allowing for short-term trips to Dubai. And at the beginning of November, they were completely lifted. French authorities denied Durov's request to travel to the USA, and his relations with the French intelligence have become even tenser following accusations of attempting to block channels on Telegram.
Restoration of Freedom of Movement
Pavel Durov was allowed to leave France in March 2025, and he is currently already in Dubai. The lifting of travel restrictions has been a step towards reducing tensions between him and the French authorities.
This development is significant for Durov, as the restoration of freedom of movement may positively impact his business interests and the further activities of Telegram, especially in an international context. At the same time, the situation with the French authorities remains sensitive, and events may continue to develop.
