Gerasimov reported to Putin about the breakthrough near Lyman: AFU refutes it.

According to ТСН: Russian propaganda is trying to present its mythical successes at the front as reality. The chief of the general staff of the Russian army, Valery Gerasimov, reports to Vladimir Putin about the "breakthrough" of the defense in the Lyman area, but the Ukrainian military stationed there officially refutes this information.

This information was made public by the Third Army Corps on its Telegram channel.

Reality on the battlefield: 40 attacks per day

The commander of the corps, brigade general Andriy Biletsky, confirmed that the defense in this direction is effectively held by the 63rd separate mechanized brigade and units of the 60th mechanized brigade. There have been no successes in capturing Lyman or breaking through the defense.

He noted that the intensity of fighting remains very high, but the situation is under control.

"The corps' units repel about 40 enemy attacks a day on the approaches to Lyman and do not allow the enemy to enter the city," emphasized Andriy Biletsky.

In the last month, the occupiers have repeatedly attempted to infiltrate the outskirts of the city in small groups, but these attempts ended in failure — the groups were destroyed or taken prisoner.

"Assistance" from war correspondents and Gerasimov's collapse

The Ukrainian military reported a striking case when one of the captured Russians in a video address "thanked" the Russian war correspondent for "betraying" their positions in Telegram. This helped to identify an enemy group, part of which was destroyed on the spot, while the video's "hero" managed to survive and fall into captivity.

The commander of the 63rd mechanized brigade, Colonel Pavlo Yurchuk, harshly commented on the actions of the Russian command, which is trying to cover its failures with fake reports.

"Over four years, Gerasimov has 'burned' his army without taking full control of a single Ukrainian region. So while our units suppress any attempts by the Russian Federation to approach Lyman in their infancy, he reports to Putin about nonexistent successes," summed up the colonel.

In addition, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine denied the information about the capture of Pokrovsk by Russia. The situation in the city is complicated, but Ukrainian units control key territories and do not allow the enemy to advance.

Recent events confirm that the Ukrainian military successfully resists numerous enemy attacks. Despite Russian propaganda's attempts to embellish the situation at the front, reality remains harsh, and the Ukrainian forces demonstrate readiness to repel enemy advances.
