Hetmantsev explained how the new economic reservation system will work.
The new economic reservation system will not allow buying out of mobilization
The head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Danylo Hetmantsev, explained the principles of the new economic reservation system. According to him, this scheme will not allow simply paying money to avoid being drafted into the army.
“Paid money – not going to the army: it will not be like that. This will be the implementation of the Cabinet of Ministers principle «Work or fight», and it will happen soon“, – he emphasized.
Hetmantsev also added that the new system will not provide a list of laws but will propose amendments to a government decree. One of the main criteria for obtaining a reservation will be a legal salary, he noted. Institutions that will have the right to reservations will be included in an expanded list of industries.
“One of the criteria will be a «white» salary, and another – the relevant industry, the list of which will be expanded“, – he explained, adding that the economic reservation system might start functioning by the end of this year.
There will be no opportunity to buy out of mobilization
Let us remind you that the reservation system will change soon; however, «red» lines will be established, and automatic buyout from mobilization will be impossible. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a press conference. He also added that great attention is paid to fairness, which is why the military is involved in the system. Shmyhal believes that new jobs need to be created, people should be attracted to the legal economy, wage levels should be increased, and more taxes and fees should be paid to the budget.
